This conversion function need MS Word installed on your PC, it invoke Word to do the conversion in background, so the result is the same as MS Word does - keeping the exact appearance mostly but with too many nasty garbages.

After conversion completed, all generated webpages will be listed in the cleaner, then you can clean them up as general clean work.

The conversion result differs with diffrent MS Word version. With Word 2000, the result is unfiltered HTML, and with newer version Word, the result is filtered HTML without MS Office specific tags.

Single Conversion - Use MS Word "Save as"

Word 2007, 2003, XP

After XP, MS Word has two HTML options in its save dialog and menu: "Save as webpage" and "Save as filtered webpage". Though HTML Cleaner for Word has the ability to strip Office specific tags in unfiltered HTML file, we strongly recommend you select the later - "Save as Filtered HTML", which will reduce potential error and save processing time.

Word 2000

Word 2000 only has one choice " Save as Web Page", which is unfiltered HTML. Don't worry, HTML Cleaner for Word will filter them as well. You can also download a simple tool from Microsoft - MS Word HTML Filter, which was designed for Word 2000.

Word 97

Word 97 is the first version of Word having a function of exporting HTML. But we recommend you not to use this version to convert, for its generated HTML file will lost much appearance.
